Welcome to the new multi-storey car park that was recently built in 2020 and designed to achieve the Park Mark accreditation.
There are 795 car parking spaces available; 703 across four floors within the building and 92 spaces externally on the ground floor. 18 electric vehicle charging points are available across the ground, first and second floor. All car parking spaces within the building are wider than industry standard, with parking spaces located outside wider still at 2.70m width (8.5ft). The car park caters for cars with a maximum height of 2.2m (7.2ft).
This modern and open plan multi-storey has no columns to park between or damage your vehicle and includes up to date energy efficient LED lighting throughout to provide a very bright interior, together with considerable natural light from all sides of the building. There is CCTV with 24 Hour security monitoring and additional security for your safety.
The car park is conveniently located next to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) and in close proximity to leading research institutions on Norwich Research Park (NR4 7UQ).
Key benefits of the car park
A wheelchair area is provided where a wheelchair, subject to availability, can be used free of charge. The onsite security will endeavour to replenish the wheelchair stock as often as possible. The wheelchairs are stored under cover to avoid the rain.
Please note the car park and site is a non-smoking area.
Electric Vehicle Charging
Recognising the increase in all electric and hybrid vehicles, a total of 18 car charging points are located at the car park within the multi-storey facility (6 on the ground, first and second floors) being a mixture of slow and fast chargers.
Payment for the electricity used is at the charging terminal with easy to use instructions.
Electric charging costs 45p per kWh, per hour. Please note that when charging your vehicle, normal car parking charges still apply for use of the space.

CAR PARKING CHARGES
The car park uses a vehicle registration system. This system reads the vehicle’s number plate at the entry to the car park’s barriers and prints the vehicle’s number on the ticket.
HOW DO YOU MAKE A PAYMENT?
We have provided a variety of flexible payment options for your convenience.
On Arrival – at the entrance barrier
On arrival you will be required to take a ticket for validation of payment. Also we operate a Tap & Go system by using a debit or any major credit card via the entrance barrier by touching / swiping the screen.
Please note that if you use the Tap & Go method, when you exit the car park you will be required to scan / swipe the same card or device for payment to be taken. The machine will calculate on leaving, the length of time you have stayed in the car park, via the vehicle number plate recognition.
On exit at a payment machine
There are five payment machines, situated on the ground floor close to the lifts and main pedestrian entrance.
On exit at the barrier
For your ease and to avoid any queuing at peak times, you can simply pay contactless with a debit or credit card at the exit barrier, by entering your ticket into the barrier machine slot and paying the charge via swiping your payment card.
Please note – When you wish to leave the car park, when the ticket is placed into one of the pay machines or at the barrier, your vehicle will be recognised from the ticket and your charge calculated accordingly. There is no need to enter a vehicle registration number at either the pay machine or exit barrier.
Please note that there is a 30 minute grace period should you enter and leave the car park within this length of time
